Expanding Offensive Horizons: Kornet’s Shooting Transforms Spurs’ Attack
Kornet’s proficiency in stretching defenses with his shooting range has injected a fresh offensive dimension into the Spurs’ game plan. This spacing advantage opens up driving lanes for guards and enhances pick-and-pop opportunities, evolving the Spurs from a mid-range focused team into a more versatile and unpredictable offensive unit.
- Enhanced floor spacing: Kornet’s 3-point shooting accuracy of 38.5% significantly alters defensive positioning.
- Effective pick-and-pop plays: Guards capitalize on Kornet’s shooting by setting screens and then popping out to the perimeter.
- Offensive gravity: His deep shooting threat forces defenses to extend coverage, creating mismatches.
